Our team will be delighted to welcome you to our campsite, nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees mountains, on a four-hectare estate planted with trees.
All our facilities are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Our location is ideal for discovering our beautiful region, northern Spain, which is just a stone’s throw away, enjoying the sea, hiking inland or in the mountains, or practicing a variety of sporting activities.

The history of our family campsite: Tradition and authenticity
Le Haras is above all a family story, since it was in 1981 that Marie and Philippe ANDREA (our aunt and uncle) created the campsite on former farmland in the commune of Palau Del Vidre and embarked on this adventure.
In 2002, we bought the estate and took over.
We were immediately won over by the omnipresence of the lush vegetation, a haven of peace that we wanted to be a place for exchanging and sharing with our customers.
The main building is a former hunting lodge dating from the late 19ᵉ century, designed by the famous Catalan architect Gustave Violet.
We respect his imprint in all our contemporary creations, both architecturally and in our choice of colors.
We discover the village of Palau Del Vidre, which in Catalan means the palace of glass.We immediately fall under the spell of this typical Catalan village, a few kilometers away from the summer hustle and bustle of the coast and where we are very quickly integrated.
Its narrow streets are home to glass artisans, whom we honor on our campsite.
Le Haras is first and foremost a traditional campsite on a human scale, with its hundred or so places, enabling us to maintain a personalized welcome and to be close to our customers. We strive to preserve the “traditional” character of the campsite, giving priority to bare pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Our 25 rental units are spread out over the site so that guests can bond with other campers. Some pitches are reserved for guests staying in their own mobile homes.
Thanks in particular to the activities we offer, we make a point of maintaining a quality relationship based on exchange and sharing. As a token of this relationship and the family spirit we value so highly, some of our customers consider :

Our commitments to sustainable tourism
Our environmentally-friendly approach, lush flora and preserved biodiversity
Situated on former farmland, our 4.5-hectare wooded park boasts a wide variety of Mediterranean plants that for many years have drawn their resources from the depths of our rich, moist soil.
These plants, trees and shrubs have the particularity of adapting to our hot, dry climate, and make do with little water.
Thanks to this luxuriant vegetation, an entire ecosystem is preserved. Birds have found a natural refuge in our park, but squirrels, insects and even a pair of mallard ducks make their home here every spring!
Environmental protection
Concerned about preserving our planet, we do our utmost to protect our environment. The majority of the cleaning products we use are eco-labelled, and our sanitary fittings are fitted with individual timed mixers.
As for watering, we give priority to drip irrigation, have replaced traditional planting areas with plants that do not require watering: cacti and succulents, and mulch areas that need to retain moisture: hedges, planted areas. In addition, we recover water from pool filtration in a 30 m³ cistern for reuse, notably for watering.
Help us protect this precious environment
To help us protect the environment, respectit and respect the work of our teams, we ask you to :
– keep washrooms clean
– not to waste toilet paper
– pay attention to water consumption
– in mobile homes, we ask you to pay attention to the consumption of water, electricity and gas.
– for dog owners, keep them on a leash and pick up their droppings with the bags provided next to the garbage cans
– do not throw cigarette butts or any other waste on the ground
– do not cut flowers, plants…
– do not feed the animals (it – can make them sick)
– for garbage, containers are at your disposal with specific columns for glass and recyclable waste. Batteries, light bulbs and ink cartridges can be dropped off at reception.
Our “ZéroPhyto” commitment: An eco-responsible campsite
For the upkeep of our park, we are committed to using no phytosanitary products for weed control, and no synthetic phytosanitary products for insecticides and fungicides.
We have created zones with low-maintenance, low-watering plants: cacti, succulents… And we generally choose plants adapted to the Mediterranean climate.
Vegetable mulch is used on hedges and planted areas to retain moisture at the base of plants, and enables us to recycle green waste.
All these measures promote biodiversity and preserve an entire ecosystem.
